We’d like to shine a spotlight on a MeasureOne™ solutions
partner, Lake Shore Cryotronics, a leading
innovator in solutions for measurement under variable temperature and magnetic
field conditions. This collaboration substantially accelerates the time to
first device measurement for a collective customer base where early stage
research typically requires testing in extreme cold and magnetic flux. FormFactor
and Lake Shore Cryotronics are both leaders in their respective fields, and each
is committed to ensuring the best solution to fit the customer’s sample size
and measurement requirements.
If you’re not yet familiar with our MeasureOne
program, it provides a framework under which we join forces with
carefully selected leaders in measurement technologies to solve the problems
that customers face when confronted with the “whole problem” of making systems
work together. Whether a customer is searching for equipment to enable new
measurements at the wafer, or seeking to integrate the components of a new
measurement solution, MeasureOne provides the assurance the customer needs with
respect to performance, ease of use, and serviceability. Ultimately, these
collaborations assure customers will have access to expertise enabling
characterized test and measurement performance, uptime and service to achieve
accelerated time to market through faster time to first measurement.
While both companies offer cryogenic
probe stations, our respective platforms differ in functionality and
address different stages of the R&D lifecycle. Lake Shore’s probe stations
are used in the earliest phases of new semiconductor and magnetic materials
R&D. Their platform features align with the limited size and number of
samples being measured, where sample stages are generally fixed in position. Our
probe stations are focused on the next phases of device development and
production, where multiple copies of devices have now been constructed and high
throughput testing is required.
The collaboration bolsters the product lines of both
companies through shared research and technology. Our radio frequency to
Terahertz probing know-how is a perfect complement to Lake Shore Cryotronics’
focused expertise on measurements near the bottom of the Kelvin scale with
magnetic field strengths up to 2.5 Tesla.
Our unique MeasureOne partnership enables the sales and
service teams from both companies, now cross-trained across each other’s
product lines, to quickly guide customers to the best probe station to address
their requirements. Validated measurement solutions from both companies will
deliver the highest levels of confidence in performance and reliability.
