As a component of the President’s “Investing in America” initiative, the U.S. Department of Commerce has pinpointed regional centers well-positioned for technological innovation and the generation of employment opportunities. A part of this initiative is designating certain Tech Hubs as centers for focused growth.

The Tech Hubs program represents an economic development endeavor strategically crafted to stimulate regional innovation and job growth. Its primary goal is to enhance a region’s capabilities in producing, marketing, and implementing technology, thus promoting American competitiveness. The bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act, enacted in August 2022, granted authorization for Tech Hubs.

FormFactor is pleased to have contributed to a successful proposal to the US government designating the greater Denver Colorado area as a regional ‘Tech Hub’. FormFactor is a partner in Elevate Quantum, a consortium of public and private partners in the region that contributed to the proposal, dedicating resources to the development of quantum information technology in the US.

FormFactor is excited about the potential that this initiative will provide Denver as a community, and the organizations that are working diligently to further quantum computing development.
