FormFactor welcomed 50 high school students and their chaperones from the Dublin Partners in Education program to our Livermore site on March 13 for a student tour hosted in partnership with Emerald High School. The visit was part of the school’s elective STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) program.

Students began their morning with a welcome from one of our Senior Managers in our Product Solutions team, who introduced them to the semiconductor industry through an overview of FormFactor and show-and-tell featuring a closer look at real components and materials used in semiconductor testing and wafer manufacturing. After the introduction, another manager from our Principal Product Marketing team hosted a panel discussion featuring some of our engineers, giving students a chance to ask questions and learn about different career paths in engineering and manufacturing. From there, they toured multiple buildings, met engineers and manufacturing teams, and saw how FormFactor’s precision tools help test the chips inside the devices we use every day.

This student tour was made possible through strong collaboration across several teams including Product Integration, A&T and Yield Engineering, Product Marketing, People Team, Facilities, IT and more.
