LIVERMORE, Calif. – September 22, 2004 — FormFactor, Inc. (Nasdaq: FORM), a leading provider of advanced wafer probe cards, today announced the expansion of its global network of service centers with new locations in Tokyo, Japan and Livermore, California. FormFactor’s regional service centers are equipped with state of the art equipment and trained staff to provide applications support, training and repair services to customers. The Service Centers enable customers to work more closely with FormFactor’s Service and Solutions Group to optimize volume wafer test operations for increased uptime, higher performance and lower cost.
“To demonstrate our continuous commitment to our customers’ success, we have invested in two new service centers. Our goal is to provide solutions that help our customers overcome their production and probing process challenges,” said Stefan Zschiegner, vice president of FormFactor’s Service and Solutions Group.
In 2003, FormFactor’s Service and Solutions Group launched the High Availability Services (HAS) Program – the first program of its kind in the wafer probe card industry. Through a blend of proactive support and reactive repair and replacement services, FormFactor has helped semiconductor manufacturers achieve 99 percent uptime in their wafer test operations, meet critical production volume ramp milestones, optimize their wafer probe solutions, and resolve repair/replacement issues in as little as 24 hours. The HAS Program leverages FormFactor’s global network of service centers in Asia, Europe and North America, including the new centers in Japan and the U.S., to extend service and support expertise closer to customers.
